It is my experience and that of countless others, for example in Dr Maxwell Maltz bestselling book psychocybernetics , the primary exercises in that book revolve around mental imaging. Due to the law of correspondence what is on the outside relationships, finances, and any other area In your life, there tends to be relationship to the images of self that you carry on the inside. It is vital to the success and development of you, that you pay close attention to what you watch on TV, my suggestion is that you don’t watch TV or read the newspapers, if you are going to read anything read things that are going to feed your mind with positive suggestions and will assist you in the directions of your goals. You Would be amazed at how much time you will have if you were to cut out TV alone.

Positive People

A study done at Harvard came up with an expression they call your reference group , what a reference group basically refers to is the people you deem yourself to be like, for instance your first reference group while growing up would be your direct family, then it would be friends at school, then clubs or associations you may be part of. And how it works is each time those people in that group, profession they become part of your reference group. See, we will become like the people we spend time with so if you are associating with people that are negative then guess what you will find it difficult to stay on track and be positive. Simply because there is so much of it in our world. I will ask you this, Why is it there is no, only positive newspapers on the stands? Why because they don’t sell, people want the smut and the negative in their lives and if you don’t make the choice to stay clear of that, then it will only be a matter of time before you become it. Things like books, seminars and any other thing that is positively influencing your thinking and way of being, is important as information and technology change we have to continually be adapting and changing or growing as well. See, in life we can’t do anything alone ,so if we are to look at success it has a lot to do with other people and their influence on you. Positive health habits are crucial to the overall success you have, this alone will help you immensely with developing a positive mental attitude, and keeping it. If you exercise eat well, meditate and other things that will improve you physical and mental health you will see vast improvement in your development.

Positive Action

This is one that is often missed or rarely executed in any regular fashion; it is known that self-development seminars, as good as some of them are, will be not worth anything if you don’t take action.

So positive action, along with the other six steps when done consistently will lead to a life that you desire and deserve. So get moving and take some positive action now!
