Day with a Difference – 18-Apr-12

Quote of the day

"You must not only aim right, but draw the bow with all your might." – Henry David Thoreau

Thought of the day – The poem I love

I know a face, a lovely face
As full of beauty as of grace,
A face of pleasure and of smile.
In utter darkness it gives light.
A face that is itself like joy,
To see it I’m a happy boy.
And I have a joy that have no other.
This lovely woman is my mother!

Idiom of the day

“Back Seat Driver” – People who criticize from the sidelines, much like someone giving unwanted advice from the back seat of a vehicle to the driver.

Joke of the day

A father was trying to teach his young son the evils of alcohol.

He put one worm in a glass of water and another worm in a glass of whiskey. The worm in the water lived, while the one in the whiskey curled up and died.

"All right, son," asked the father, "what does that show you?"

"Well, Dad, it shows that if you drink alcohol, you will not have worms."

Have a nice day!

Warm regards,

Prasanna
